British govt: Cameron in Davos to confirm support for Ukraine, call for security, stability in Middle East

British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Secretary Lord David Cameron intends to reaffirm support for Ukraine and call for security and stability in the Middle East during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, according to the British government website on Wednesday.

In particular, he intends to call for greater action from world leaders in a bid to mobilize international support and cooperation in solving the world's biggest challenges, and to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

"In my discussion with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, I will make clear the UK will continue to be a steadfast supporter of Ukraine, so it not only wins the war, but emerges from it as a strong, sovereign, and free country. Ukraine is standing up for the rules that keep us all safe. This is why the UK has provided almost GBP 12 billion in support to Ukraine. We will stand with them for as long as it takes to achieve victory," Cameron said.
