Google, continuing to support cybersecurity, will provide 5,000 security keys to the government of Ukraine in 2024, according to a Google press release posted on Tuesday.

"At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Google presented a vision for secure government digitalization and confirmed that in 2024 it will continue to support the cybersecurity of the government of Ukraine and efforts to strengthen online security in Ukraine," Google said referring to Oleh Yakymchuk, Director of Government Relations at Google Ukraine.

As noted, "Google continues to support Ukraine's digital transformation through various initiatives. One of the key initiatives is to provide 5,000 security keys to the government employees."

As it is emphasized, "these devices replace traditional passwords with physical verification, which significantly enhances the security of accounts. This step will help protect critical operations and strengthen the trust and safety of citizens."

"In addition to providing security keys, Google also plans to introduce training programs and trainings to help Ukrainian civil servants understand how to use the full potential of these devices. With the help of educational materials, instructions and trainings, civil servants gain the knowledge and skills necessary to protect their accounts. In addition, Google and the Ukrainian government will collaborate on joint cybersecurity workshops to share best practices and develop new strategies for data protection," Google informs.

Google also reportedly held a high-level round-talk table at Google House in Davos to support the dynamics of Ukraine's digital transformation. This discussion brought together leading experts in Davos and aimed to help accelerate Ukraine's innovation strategy, demonstrate the country's innovative approach to digital transformation and shape a future that will be based on cooperation and progress.

During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Google House visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the virtual exhibition "Ukraine is near" on the Google Arts & Culture platform. This exhibition also provides a basis for discussion and further implementation of projects in the cultural and technological fields in Ukraine.
