MP Dubnevych informed of suspicion of gas theft worth UAH 2.1 bln

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), with the participation of detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), reported suspicions of organizing the seizure of state property (natural gas) worth more than UAH 2.1 billion and the legalization of illegally obtained profits to the current MP of Ukraine.

"On October 10, 2023, the said MP did not appear on the summons and did not answer phone calls from detectives. The MP's defenders told the investigation that they did not have information about the latter's whereabouts and also did not have phone contact with him. During the day, NABU detectives together with the SAPO prosecutor, they tried to establish the whereabouts of the MP in order to serve the suspicion, but he was not found at any address available to the investigation. Considering that the whereabouts of the MP had not been established, it was decided to inform him of the suspicion in accordance with Article 135 of the Code of Criminal Procedure Ukraine," the SAPO press service said in the Telegram channel.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, this is about a member of the parliamentary group "For the Future" Yaroslav Dubnevych.

The pretrial investigation established that during 2013-2017, Dubnevych, involving five other persons, organized the seizure of natural gas by officials of the Novoyavorivska and Novorozdilska CHPP (Lviv region) under his control for a total amount of more than UAH 2.155 billion.
