Enemy launches two launch vehicles into Sea of Azov – Ukrainian Navy

Russia launched two carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles into the Sea of Azov, a total salvo of up to eight missiles, what caused this is still unknown, speaker of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk said.

"The only thing that is new is the presence of two carriers in the Sea of Azov now. The total salvo can reach up to eight units. And one combat ship, in addition. What caused this, I'm not ready to say yet. But we see this – not that it's a change tactics, but they are trying to periodically move these units between different ports. So far Novorossiysk, Sevastopol," the speaker said at a briefing at Ukraine Media Center Ukrinform on Wednesday.

However, the Ukrainian Navy said that enemy ships are trying to enter Sevastopol as rarely as possible, because "they do not feel the level of security to which they are accustomed."

"But they still have to periodically enter Sevastopol, because the loading of the Kalibr takes place there. The remaining ships stay closer to the Novorossiysk base. And periodically they began to enter the Sea of Azov," Pletenchuk said.

There are now up to five enemy ships in the Black Sea.
