SBU to identify everyone involved in atrocities in Bucha, other cities of Kyiv region
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is collecting evidence and identifying all those involved in the crimes committed in Kyiv region by Russian occupiers and Ukrainian collaborators, SBU speaker Artem Dekhtiarenko has said.
"The SBU investigative and operational teams are working in more than 20 settlements of the region, which accounted for the bulk of the war crimes of the Russian Federation. Evidence is being collected and the entire chain of those involved is being established: both from the Russian invaders and Ukrainian collaborators," the SBU spokesman said in a video message posted on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
He noted that the SBU managed to draw up a list of names of the Russian military who will be held accountable for crimes against the peace and security of mankind.
"The SBU has interviewed almost 2,000 people who witnessed these atrocities. This has already made it possible to identify 33 collaborators who collaborated with the Russians," Dekhtiarenko said.
According to him, the SBU also detained and handed over to the police 15 looters among the local population.
In addition, according to the spokesman of the department, the SBU found more than 100 explosive devices, more than fifty artillery shells, live grenades, cartridges, and detonators, everything was handed over to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
