Active fighting continues in Izium direction - Synehubov
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Armed Forces continued shelling residential areas and civilian infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv and the districts of the region, head of the regional administration Oleh Synehubov said.
"Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupying forces have constantly launched artillery, mortar, and MLRS shelling, 39 times in total: these are the areas of Saltovka, Oleksiivka, Kholodna Hora, Chuhuiv, Derhachi. About 180 attacks by the enemy from Grad-type MLRS," Synehubov wrote in his telegram channel.
Because of the shelling, there were fires in Kyiv, Shevchenkivsky and Moskovsky districts of Kharkiv. Residential buildings, trade facilities and other civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged, there were no victims or injured.
Synehubov noted that the activity of enemy drones does not stop in order to reconnoiter the positions of Ukrainian units.
"According to the Defense Headquarters, no enemy aircraft were observed in the city of Kharkiv. But the activity of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles continues, reconnaissance of the positions of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Territorial Defense and National Guard of Ukraine," Synehubov said.
He also said that fighting continues in Izium direction.
"Active battles continue in Izium direction. In this area, the Armed Forces shot down one enemy fighter and a drone in a day," Synehubov wrote.
