AFU Air Force destroys advanced command post of 8th Combined Arms Army of Southern Military District of Russia at airfield in Chornobayivka – Arestovych

KYIV. March 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In an attack on the airfield in Chornobayivka, Kherson region, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to preliminary data, destroyed the forward command post of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation and its commander, Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the President's Office, has said.

"I want to inform you that the airfield in Chornobayivka (Kherson region), which the Russians use as their command post and the place of collection of aircraft, again pleased us with the result. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine again struck and, according to preliminary data, destroyed the forward command post of the 8th army of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation. This is exactly the direction that was responsible for ORDLO... According to preliminary data, the commander of this army died," Arestovych said at a briefing in the president's office on Friday.

Also, according to him, during the day 10 enemy aircraft were shot down, of which 4 aircraft, 2 helicopters, cruise missiles and operational tactical UAVs
