Over the past day, the Russian occupation troops carried out 49 attacks in the districts of Kharkiv, increasing the number of attacks from the MLRS, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Synehubov has said.

"The number of attacks from multiple launch rocket systems (BM-21) has increased – about 10 times. Enemy aircraft in the city of Kharkiv have not been recorded," Synehubov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also said that rescuers are eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling in the town of Merefa.

Synehubov said that the Ukrainian servicemen are rebuffing the attempts of the occupiers to move forward through the Izium.

"The enemy does not stop trying to move forward through Izium, but there is no success. The Ukrainian army is giving a worthy rebuff: in the past 24 hours alone, air defense units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down 2 enemy planes and 1 helicopter near Izium," Synehubov wrote.

In addition, according to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated the enemy battalion-tactical group.

"Near Kharkov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated an enemy battalion tactical group yesterday. They destroyed equipment, fuel and ammunition. This significantly weakened the offensive positions of the Russians, who are already demoralized," Synehubov wrote.

"The Ukrainian army will defend the victory! Kharkiv region holds the defense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not let the enemy through and give a worthy rebuff! Our Ukrainian army, our people are invincible!" he said.
