Case opened over missile attack near Pivdenny railway station of Kyiv
The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into violations of the rules of the warfare in connection with a missile attack on Kyiv near the Pivdenny Railway Station, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has reported.
"Under the procedural leadership of the Shevchenkivsky district prosecutor's office of the city of Kyiv, police investigators began an investigation into the rocket attack on the territory adjacent to the Pivdenny Railway Station on the fact of violation of the rules of the warfare (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement posted in Telegram channel.
According to the report, on March 2, at about 21:30, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a rocket into the area of the Pivdenny Railway Station in Kyiv, where thousands of civilians, mostly women and children, are being evacuated.
"The heat supply facility was damaged. One person received shrapnel wounds. The number of victims is being specified," the Office of the Prosecutor General said.
