Kuleba appreciates Canada, Australia for imposing sanctions over Crimean bridge construction

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba appreciated Canada and Australia for the imposition of sanctions against a number of individuals and companies from Russia due to the construction of the Crimean bridge.

"I welcome Canada's and Australia's additional steps to hold Russia accountable for the ongoing occupation of Crimea and human rights violations there. The campaign of increasing sanctions pressure on Russia will continue until the territorial integrity of Ukraine is fully restored," Kuleba wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

Canada has imposed sanctions on two Russians and four companies associated with the construction of the Crimean Bridge, the Canadian Foreign Office said. Canada has sanctioned the First Crimean Insurance Company, Crimea Railway, Lenpromtransproyekt, the Berkakit-Tommot-Yakutsk Railway Line's Construction Directorate, Grand Service Express CEO Alexander Ganov, and StroyGazMontazh Deputy CEO for Infrastructure Projects Leonid Ryzhenkin.

In addition, the Australian Foreign Ministry announced the imposition of sanctions against one individual and four companies from Russia due to the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait.
