A mobile hospital for coronavirus patients has been deployed in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Most of the hospitals in Ivano-Frankivsk region that are supposed to receive COVID-19 patients are overcrowded. Over the past day, 646 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified. This is the largest number of patients among all regions of Ukraine.

According to the press service of Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration, a temporary hospital for treatment of patients with COVID-19 has been deployed in Ukraine for the first time. The corresponding decision was made by the regional commission for emergency situations.

It is reported that the chief state sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko, who is in the Carpathian region on a working trip, held an extraordinary meeting of the regional commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations to stabilize the situation associated with the spread of coronavirus.

It is also reported that the mobile hospital will be created on the basis of Bohorodchansky hospital, Lysetsky hospital, Verkhovynsky multidisciplinary hospital and Zabolotivsky multidisciplinary hospital.

"The regional medical care system is not limitless. Therefore, without an introduction of more stringent anti-epidemic measures, the spread of coronavirus cannot be contained," Viktor Liashko said.

According to him, it is necessary to additionally deploy about 600 more beds in Carpathian region, to provide them with oxygen and qualified medical personnel.
