Flight-related information has been copied from the black boxes of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) passenger plane that crash-landed at Sheremetyevo Airport on May 5, the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) said.

"Specialists of the IAC scientific and technical center examined, dismantled and prepared the flight data recorders for information copying. All the flight-related information has been copied and prepared for deciphering and analysis," the committee said.

One of the plane's flight data recorders was seriously damaged, while the second black box is in satisfactory condition, it said.

"The parametric data recorder was exposed to high temperatures and sustained serious damage. The cockpit voice recorder is in satisfactory condition," the committee said.

The IAC also said that its commission investigating the May 5 accident has 30 days in accordance with Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation to draw up and submit a tentative report detailing with results of the commission's work and offering immediate flight safety recommendations.

Aeroflot flight SU1492 from Moscow to Murmansk returned to its airport of departure, crash-landed, and caught fire on May 5. There were 78 people, including five crewmembers, on board. Many escaped using the airplane's evacuation slides. Preliminary reports put the death toll from the fire on board the plane at 41.
