Australian Defense Ministry to allocate $250,000 for development of medical, sports rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian military – Poltorak

An agreement was reached to allocate $250,000 for the development of medical and sports rehabilitation of wounded soldiers, Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak said that during a meeting in Canberra with Australian Defense Minister Christopher Pyne.

"This will improve the professional skills of medical service specialists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the equipment of our medical institutions for the rehabilitation of servicemen wounded during the hostilities in eastern Ukraine," wrote Poltorak on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.

He also expressed conviction that the Ukrainian and Australian defense ministries have the opportunity to expand cooperation, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is ready to cooperate with the Australian Ministry of Defense in all areas, ranging from exchanging information, completing by the issues related to personnel training, cyber security issues, the exchange of experience in the development of military infrastructure.

"I believe that such cooperation will be useful for the defense ministries of the two partner countries, and also that the leader of the defense ministry of the partner country will visit our country," Poltorak said.
