Ukraine's goal is to make Russia fulfill its obligations in Council of Europe - Kuleba

Ukraine seeks to make Russia fulfill its obligations in the Council of Europe and the requirements of decisions made in response to aggression against Ukraine, Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Dmytro Kuleba has said.

"Something burns in Russia. Going through a defeat is very hard to it, and has it already got confused in threats. First they leave PACE, then they leave the whole Council of Europe. Withdrawal is not a tragedy. Our goal is unchanged - to make Russia fulfill its obligations in the Council of Europe and the requirements of decisions made in response to the aggression against Ukraine," Kuleba wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday.

Earlier, Ukrainian parliamentarians, members of the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, said that a report on changes to the PACE statute on the powers of delegations, which was lobbied by Russia, had been postponed to January 2019.
