We must make maximum use of UNGA session to report on human rights violations in Russia occupied territories

First Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada, authorized by the president of Ukraine for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Iryna Gerashchenko, notes the importance of reporting information on human rights violations in the territories occupied by Russia within the framework of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.

"We must use to the full the high international platform to report information on daily human rights violations in the territories occupied by the Russian Federation, on threats to security and environmental threats," she wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

Gerashchenko also called important the decision to include the issue of the situation in the occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas in the agenda of the session of the UN General Assembly.

She also reminded that according to the decree of the president, along with other colleagues, she was included in the delegation of Ukraine to participate in the work of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.
