Poroshenko vetoes law on 'single window,' proposes excluding item about grain wagons

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has returned to the Verkhovna Rada with proposals the law on a "single window" at the customs, adopted on July 5, 2018, according to the website of the head of state.

In the proposals to the law Poroshenko noted that the law submitted for signing is extremely important and expressed support for the need to introduce a "single window" mechanism and optimize the implementation of control procedures when moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine. At the same time, the head of state noted that certain provisions of the law cannot be supported.

In particular, the document amends the laws on stimulation of the development of domestic machinery for the agro-industrial complex and on state support for agriculture in Ukraine, which include special wagons for grain transportation in machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex, for the purchase of which agricultural producers are provided with state support.

The head of state noted that the majority of agricultural producers are farms (75% of the total number of agricultural enterprises), the volume of crop production at which (11.2%) objectively does not require the purchase of special wagons for grain transportation by most of them.
