Most Ukrainians favor joining EU, NATO - poll

The majority of Ukrainians favors Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO, according to the poll data of the sociological group Rating.
So, according to the poll, 50% of Ukrainians are in favor of joining the European Union, while 28% are against. Some 42% of the population favor Euro-Atlantic integration, 35% of respondents oppose it.
Given the choice between integration directions in economic unions, 42% of respondents support the accession to the EU, 36% stand for equidistance from Russia and the EU, while 11% support the entry into the Customs Union. And 11% of the respondents were undecided.
Respondents have the most positive relation to Belarus - 74%, to Canada - 68%, and the European Union - 68%. Some 58% are positive about the U.S., while 27% are negative. Some 35% of Ukrainians are positive about Russia, and 52% are negative.
Surveyed Ukrainians feel sympathy with such international organizations as the United Nations (58%), OSCE (50%), NATO (49%), and IMF (39%).
The poll was conducted by the sociological group Rating in the period between June 22, 2018 and July 5, 2018. It surveys 3,200 respondents aged 18 or older.
