Most cyber attacks against Ukraine come from Russia – Shymkiv

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Dmytro Shymkiv says that most of the cyber attacks on the Ukrainian economic infrastructure come from Russia.

"We very often forget in the age of innovations that there are intruders who would like to use the personal data of Ukrainian citizens, take advantage of Ukrainian state or non-state information resources and disable one or another of the economic infrastructure. We fully understand that most of the attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure come from Russia," he said during the IX National Expert Forum in Kyiv on Thursday.

Shymkiv stressed that international partners of Ukraine confirm this. In this connection, he hopes that in the future the relevant bodies will pay more attention to this problem and improve their cyber defense.

"The more we are digitized, the more threats we experience," he stressed.

Shymkiv noted that a separate issue is the protection of the Ukrainian critical infrastructure.
