The EU Delegation to Ukraine considers it expedient to strengthen the role of the Verkhovna Rada committee for European integration in the work on respective bills.

Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said this in Kyiv on Wednesday, February 28, at the presentation of a "road map" of legislative support for the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

In addition, he noted that the effective implementation of this "road map" required the holding of regular meetings between representatives of the government, the parliamentary committee for European integration and the EU Delegation to identify obstacles to bills and ways to overcome them. The diplomat also added that the rapid implementation of the road map was important.

Mingarelli noted that the Ukrainian authorities had shown determination and ability to change the country. At the same time, he said that in order to bring Ukraine economically and politically closer to the EU, it was necessary to strengthen efforts to implement the Association Agreement.
