President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has awarded Chief Military Prosecutor - Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Anatoliy Matios the military rank of Colonel-General of Justice.

Relevant decree No. 395/2017 dated December 1 was published on the official website of the president.

"To award the military rank of Colonel-General of Justice Lieutenant-General of Justice Anatoliy Vasylyevych Matios, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the Chief Military Prosecutor," the decree reads.

As reported, Matios was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General - the main military prosecutor of Ukraine in early August 2014.
