Poroshenko ready to submit bill on anti-corruption court to parliament in two weeks

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is ready in two weeks to submit his version of the draft law on the anti-corruption court to the parliament if no working group is established in the Verkhovna Rada to work out a consensus draft of such a law.
"The president of Ukraine calls on all committees, all interested factions to set up a working group to work out the main theses and principles of the law on the anti-corruption court," Iryna Lutsenko, a representative of the president in the Verkhovna Rada, a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of the factions' leaders, groups and committees of the parliament in Kyiv on Monday.
She noted that without such a working group it would be impossible to reach a consensus in the parliamentary session hall when voting for the draft law.
"If within two weeks such a working group is not created and the main positions are not introduced, the president is ready to present to parliament in two weeks his version of the anti-corruption court and this bill," Lutsenko said.
Later, at a briefing on the sidelines of the parliament, she clarified that the presidential draft law on the anti-corruption court was already being prepared at the presidential administration.
