Israeli teenager injured in explosion in Uman - Ukrainian police
An explosion of an unknown object was reported in garages close to the place of residence of Hasidic pilgrims in the Ukrainian town of Uman at 06:00 local time on Thursday, September 21, as a result of which a 13-year-old Israeli citizen was injured, the Communications Department of the National Police of Ukraine has reported.
"When the police arrived at the scene, they established that the roof of a garage had been damaged by an explosion of an unknown object. What is more, a 13-year-old teenager, an Israeli citizen, was injured. The boy had a slash on his left wrist. The teenager received medical aid on the spot," the police said in a report on Thursday morning.
The personnel of the police have been put on alarm. The National Police's chief sent his deputies, First Deputy Head of the National Police Viacheslav Abroskin and Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksandr Fatsevych, to the scene of the incident.
"Investigators and explosive specialists are currently working on the spot. The circumstances of the explosion and individuals involved in the incident are being established. Criminal proceedings may be opened," the report said.
