Kyiv's Holosiyivsky district court has extended arrest with a UAH 450 million bail option to former deputy board chairman of Naftogaz Ukrainy Oleksandr Katsuba for two months, Spokesperson of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko Larysa Sargan has said.

"Kyiv's Holosiyivsky district court has extended the arrest of ex- deputy board chairman of Naftogaz Ukrainy Katsuba for two more months. The bail is UAH 450 million," she wrote on her Twitter page on Tuesday.

As reported, Katsuba was detained on June 17 suspected of committing a crime under Article 255 (the creation of a criminal group) and Article 191 (embezzlement of property via abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On June 21, Holosiyivsky district court arrested Katsuba for two month with a UAH 450 million bail option. The defending lawyers filed a counterclaim against this decision.

On July 1, 2016, judges of the appeal court upheld the decision of the lower instance court.
