Ukraine has finished preparations for the arbitration with Russia in the case of sovereign rights waters around temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.

"UA [Ukrainian] delegation has finished pretrial consultations with Russia regarding sovereign rights in waters around Crimea. #UNCLOS arbitration next [United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea]," he wrote on his Twitter page.

As reported, in June 2016, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that Ukraine initiates litigation and will create an arbitration to protect its rights guaranteed by the UNCLOS.
