Poroshenko enacts bills ratifying some interstate agreement in transport sector

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed bills on ratification of some interstate agreements in the transport sector.

The president's press service reported on Thursday that Poroshenko signed the bill on ratification of an air traffic agreement signed by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers and the Greek government, an air traffic agreement between the Ukrainian and Cyprus governments, an air transportation agreement between the Ukrainian and Polish governments and an international intermodal transportation agreement between Ukrainian and Hungarian governments.

"The agreements create favorable conditions for improving transport relations between the countries. This would help to develop interstate cooperation, establish business links and intensify interpersonal contacts," the press service said.

The agreements with Greece and Poland will take effect from the date of receiving the last written notification on the completion of internal procedures by the sides. The agreement with Cyprus would enter force in 30 days and the agreement with Hungary – in 60 days from the date of receiving the last notification on finishing internal procedures by the sides.
