Austria to lend shoulder to Ukraine in light of Donbas developments – Ukrainian Foreign Ministry

Austrian Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs Sebastian Kurz in a course of the meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that Austria was ready to actively support Ukraine in light of the situation in Donbas.

As the ministry's press service reported on Thursday, Kurz and Klimkin met on the sidelines of the 22nd sitting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade (Serbia), during which the parties discussed an implementation of the Minsk Agreements.

Klimkin also informed his Austrian colleague on a current situation in Donbas, namely the number of the Russian armament and Russian armed forces deployed on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, "without withdrawal of which implementation of the Minsk Agreements, stabilization of the situation in Ukraine, and free elections in Donbas are impossible."

"In the frames of a bilateral dialogue Kurz said that the Austrian Investment Bank decided to restore insurance of export activity for the Austrian companies in Ukraine," the ministry said.
