Japan provides over $1.8 mln to restore infrastructure in Luhansk region – region head

Head of Luhansk regional military-civilian administration Heorhiy Tuka has published a list of facilities in Luhansk region which will be restored by the Japanese government which has provided $1.8 million.

"I sincerely thank the Japanese government for the aid provided for all residents of the region," Tuka wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.

He said that $180,000 has been provided to the central town hospital in Rubizhne, another $100,000 – to a children's rehabilitation center, $100,000 was given to Nadia orphanage, and $15,000 to a senior citizens home in Svatove.

A total of $100,000 has been provided to the district territorial medical center in Kreminna and $85,000 has been provided to a disabled children’s rehabilitation center in the same town. Some $100,000 and $85,000 were provided to repair two bridges in Kreminna, and $115,000 to repair a pump station.

A total of $162,000 was provided to the Titov central hospital in Lysychansk, and $200,000 to the surgery department in Luhansk regional hospital located in Severodonetsk. Some $320,000 was provided to repair a crossing in Severodonetsk and $215,000 – a bridge in Starobelsk.
