Two Ukrainian soldiers killed, two wounded near Triokhizbenka – Governor Moskal

Luhansk region military-civilian administration head Hennadiy Moskal reported on Tuesday a clash which occurred in the Novoaidarsky district the day before and inflicted casualties on the Ukrainian army.

The army clashed with a militants' group on the contact line near the village of Kriakivka of the Triokhizbenka rural area in the Novoaidarsky district of the Luhansk region on Monday, says a report posted on the Moskal website.

Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another two suffered injuries in the fighting. The wounded soldiers were taken to hospital, Moskal said.

The hostilities went on through Monday and during the night practically along the entire contact line in the Luhansk region, the report said. The militants shelled a number of residential areas and engaged in several clashes, Moskal claimed.

The small hours of Tuesday were quiet in Kriakivka and Triokhizbenka, he added.

Moskal reported later that Toshkivka came under a mortar attack in the morning of June 15. "Several mines hit a spot near a bus stop in Chekhyrove. Nobody was hurt," the governor's press service reported.

According to Moskal, the militants' Grad rocket launchers shelled Horikhove on the Bakhmutka road on Monday evening. Partizan systems fired nine single shots, and one round exploded near the village first aid station. The blast wave smashed windows at the first aid station and homes located nearby. "Clashes sporadically occurred on the Horikhove outskirts until late at night, and the 25th roadblock on Bakhmutka came under a mortar attack at 4 a.m. on Tuesday," Moskal said.

Bombardments and clashes in the area of the tuberculosis prevention and treatment center in Krymske continued during Monday and last night, with minor periods of lull. There have been no reports on casualties as of yet.
