ATO participants receive 2,600 parcels of land

As of March 26, 2015, anti-terrorist operation (ATO) personnel or the families of deceased servicemen who haven't exercised their right to the free privatization of land have received 2,587 land parcels with a gross area of 1,112 hectares in ownership for construction, gardening and the maintenance of private agricultural households.

This is according to a report published by the State Agency for Land Surveying, Cartography and Cadastre (former State Agency for Land Resources).

"Over the past week territorial agencies for land resources, jointly with local self-government agencies, approved draft land utilization projects on allocating 188 parcels of land and agreed permits for drawing up projects on allocating 590 parcels of land with a gross area of 362.85 hectares," the agency said.

According to the report, permits for 1,733 parcels of land for gardening were issued, as well as 548 parcels of land for the maintenance of private agricultural households, 302 parcels of land for the construction and maintenance of private households, and four parcels of land for the construction of bungalows and country houses.

The agencies made 16,338 decisions to allocate and draw up land utilization projects on allocating 17,988 parcels of land with a gross area of 10,491 hectares.

The agency said that since the beginning of the initiative in June 2014, soldiers participating in the ATO and the families of deceased servicemen have submitted 30,570 applications.
