Railway bridge blown up in Luhansk region

A railway bridge was blown up in Luhansk region on Tuesday, says Hennadiy Moskal, the head of the Luhansk regional military-civilian administration.

"Yesterday, unidentified people blew up a railway bridge across a motorway between the Shypylove and Sentianivka stations, the 51st kilometer," Moskal's press service reported on Wednesday.

The destroyed railway was discovered by the engineer of a train of 51 cars carrying coking coal belonging to the Alchevsk metallurgical plant. Although the engineer applied the emergency brake, the locomotive's front part was derailed. The train crew, however, managed to back up and put it on the tracks again. The incident did not cause any casualties.

"This is not the first act of sabotage on this railroad section. The tracks were blown here for the first time on February 12, the second time on March 9, and the third time yesterday," the press service said.
