Kyiv demands condemnation of Russia's holding Ukrainian prisoners – Poroshenko

Ukraine demands that Russia's illegal holding of Ukrainian prisoners, in particular MP Nadia Sacvhenko, is condemned, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"Ukraine insists on the immediate release of all the prisoners. Moreover, we demand a decisive condemnation of Russia's actions that is holding some prisoners in its territory illegally, including Nadia Savchenko, a Ukrainian pilot, a captain of the Ukrainian Air Force, who protected her land with arms in hands and as of today has been kept in prison. [She] is illegally kept in Russia, where the Ukrainian women, the Ukrainian soldier, a Ukrainian patriot is being tortured without grounds or being accused [of a crime]," Poroshenko said at a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis in Kyiv on Tuesday.
