Heavenly Hundred Heroes' relatives get 22 land plots

The family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, who died during clashes in Kyiv in winter 2013-2014, took unscheduled ownership of 22 land plots from the government free of charge with a total area of 14.8 hectares as of March 2015.

Most of the land plots are located in Lviv region (8 plots) and Rivne region (4 plots), the State Agency for Land Resources said on Wednesday.

In February, the family members of two of the Heavenly Hundred, Ivan Bliok and Roman Senyk, took ownership of agricultural lands of 0.1 hectares and 0.25 hectares in Pustomytivsky and Yavorivsky districts in Lviv region.

As of March 2015, the State Land Resources Agency's territorial branches received 67 requests from eligible families for the ownership of land subject to free privatization, the agency said.

"In keeping with these requests, land surveyors have already granted 41 land project permits," the statement said.

According to the State Agency for Land Resources, as of today 168 family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes have the right to unscheduled free-of-charge ownership of land plots in Ukraine.

At the beginning of December 2014, the State Agency for Land Resources reported that the father of Serhyi Nigoyan, who was the first to die in the Maidan events in Kyiv, took ownership of a plot of agricultural land in Soloniansky district.

By July 22, 2014, the State Agency for Land Resources had received 14 petitions by the family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes for land project permits, 9 of which were granting for land plots with a total area of 9.83 hectares.
