ATO participants receive land allocation permits for 14,900 parcels of land

As of February 23, 2015 anti-terrorist operation (ATO) soldiers or the families of deceased servicemen who haven't exercised their right to the free privatization of land have received permits to draw up land projects on allocating 14,889 land parcels for construction, gardening and the maintenance of private agricultural households.

The State Agency for Land Resources has said that permits for land parcels with a gross area of over 8,265 hectares were provided by the territorial departments of the agency and local authorities.

According to the report, permits for 7,585 parcels of land with a gross area of 1,154 hectares for gardening were issued, as well as 3,961 parcels of land with a gross area of 6,712 hectares for the maintenance of private agricultural households, 3,331 parcels of land with a gross area of 398.06 hectares for the construction and the maintenance of private households, and 12 parcels of land with a gross area of 1.16 hectares for the construction of bungalows and country houses.

The state agency said that the majority of permits were issued in Kyiv region (2,318 parcels of land), Lviv region (1,835), Vinnytsia region (1,441), Volyn region (1,219), Mykolaiv region (1,188), Chernihiv region (1,115), Zhytomyr region (855) and Zakarpattia region (728).

The agency said that since the beginning of the initiative in June 2014, soldiers participating in the ATO and the families of deceased servicemen have submitted 25,462 applications.
