Fighting continues on Luhansk-Donetsk border - Ukrainian official

A full ceasefire has yet to be achieved in the Luhansk region as fighting continues near two populated localities on the administrative border with the Donetsk region, Chornukhyne and Troitske, head of the Luhansk region state administration Hennadiy Moskal said.
A report posted on the Moskal website alleged the use of heavy artillery, Grad rocket launchers, mortars and tanks in the vicinity of Chornukhyne and Troitske.
"The sound of cannonade is audible in Popasna, Novotoshkivske and other towns along the Bakhmutske road. We have failed to establish lasting communication with these towns so far," it said.
Moskal added that all was quiet in most of the Luhansk region territory controlled by Ukraine on Tuesday and in the early hours of Wednesday.
"There was no shelling in traditional hotspots [Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Schastia, Popasna, Triokhizbenka and Hirske]," he said.
