Ex-MPs Levchenko and Kolesnichenko on wanted list – advisor to SBU chief
Former MPs from the Party of Regions who sat in the previous, 7th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, Mykola Levchenko and Vadym Kolesnichenko, have been put on a wanted list, Markiyan Lubkivsky, an adviser to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) chief has said.
"[I] inform you that a notice of suspicion has been prepared for Ukrainian citizens, former MPs Mykola Levchenko and Vadym Kolesnichenko. They have been put on the wanted list," Lubkivsky wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
He stated that the ex-MPs were incriminated in crimes under Part 3, Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity and inviolability leading to the deaths of people or other grave consequences).
Lubkivsky also described a meeting during which SBU Chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko commented on the decision. "I remember December 16, 2014 very well, when dictatorial laws were obnoxiously and traitorously forced [to be adopted] at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. And how certain MPs behaved, mocking the law and their own people. But neither those, who have been put on the wanted list, nor those, who will be charged in the future, will avoid justice," Nalyvaichenko said at the meeting.
