Poroshenko posthumously awards Colonel Anischenko killed near Sloviansk in May with Hero of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has posthumously conferred the Hero of Ukraine title, and awarded the Golden Star decoration to Second in Command of Alfa special-forces unit Colonel Oleksandr Anischenko, the presidential press service has reported.

Anischenko was killed on May 5, 2014 during combat near Sloviansk, Donetsk region.
