Poroshenko believes Kolomoisky's work on post of head of Dnipropetrovsk regional administration efficient

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is satisfied with the work of the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration Ihor Kolomoisky.

"I think that the functions of the head of the administration in Dnipropetrovsk, including from the point of view of the development of the economic complex and defense, are fulfilled effectively. I don’t plan to replace him at the present stage," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

Asked if the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration was discussed at the talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Poroshenko said that the name of Kolomoisky was not mentioned.

As reported, Moscow's Basmanny District Court had earlier sanctioned Kolomoisky's arrest in absentia, and he has been declared internationally wanted. Russia has charged the Ukrainian tycoon with the organization of a number of serious crimes, including murders, the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare, the obstruction of professional activities of journalists, abductions, and some other crimes.

In early September 2014, court placed under arrest property of Ukrainian businessman Kolomoisky. In particular, an office building in Moscow was arrested. The building belongs to Elite Holding and Kolomoisky is its co-founder, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.

In addition, the parliament of Crimea has nationalized land in the village of Foros on the southern coast of the peninsula owned by Kolomoisky.
