Stocktaking of Ukrtelecom's property in Sevastopol, check of lawfulness of asset privatization scheduled

A stocktaking of property of public joint-stock company Ukrtelecom has been initiated and started under a resolution of the government of Sevastopol City, and a comprehensive check of the lawfulness of the privatization of its assets that earlier belonged to Ukraine has been scheduled.
According to the resolution of September 24, after the stocktaking it is ordered to include the relevant assets to the register of assets belonged to Sevastopol City.
In addition, for the period of the stocktaking director of Ukrtelecom is to be discharged from the post.
During the stocktaking, the IT and communications department of Sevastopol is to ensure the stable operation of the telecommunications sector.
Head of the communications and IT department of the Sevastopol government Vadim Dvoryanenko told reporters that on April 24, 2014 law No. 3-ZS on the former state-owned assets of Ukraine and the defining of a procedure for the stocktaking and management of assets belonged to Sevastopol City was passed and on March 17 decision No. 7156 of Sevastopol City Council on the status of Sevastopol hero city was approved, under which all institutions, enterprises and other organizations founded by Ukraine or with its participation become enterprises founded by Sevastopol City.
"Thus, if during the check it is revealed that the privatization was conducted with infringements or Ukrtelecom does not have ownership rights to some facilities, only in this case the facilities will be included in the list of assets belonged to the city in line with clause 3 of the today's resolution," he said.
