The Right Sector organization has officially been registered by the Justice Ministry as a political party, the party's information coordinator, Boryslav Bereza, has said.

"The Right Sector party was officially registered. And now we're a legitimate political force. And this means we can participate in elections at all levels," he wrote on Facebook.

Right Sector is a political party drawing its members from a number of nationalist organizations. The Right Sector was formed on the basis of the Ukrainian National Assembly (UNA) Party.

Recently party leader Dmytro Yarosh said that Right Sector and the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union could unite in future.
