Kostiantynivka city police department in Donetsk region is operating as normal, the public liaisons department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's main office in Donetsk region reported on Monday.

"Today, on April 28, at 0600, a group of 30 unknown gunmen drove in minibuses to the Kostiantynivka city department of police and entered the building. Weapons were not used, there are no casualties," reads the report.

The police reported that now several people from this group were in the office of the chief of the local police department, where they are holding talks, whereas others left the building.

Television News Service (TSN) reported earlier that a group of unknown gunmen had seized a police department in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region.

According to TSN, the gunmen have entered the building and are preventing staff from accessing their workplaces. They are not making any demands.

According to the local media, armed people have been seen near the Kostiantynivka executive committee and the staff are not entering the building for that reason.
