Ukrainian president sends condolences over Volgograd blasts

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych offered his condolences in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, following the attacks on a railway station and a trolleybus in Russia's southern city of Volgograd, the Kremlin press service said on Monday.

"Viktor Yanukovych expressed profound condolences in connection with the tragic events in Volgograd and sent words of sympathy and support on behalf of the Ukrainian people to the families of the victims and the persons who were injured as a result of the terrorist attacks," it said.
