Factions of the Verkhovna Rada are preparing a joint statement about the European integration of Ukraine, Parliamentary Speaker Volodymyr Rybak said on Channel 5.

"The European integration is among priorities for all of the five parties that got seats in the parliament. And there is no disagreement there," Rybak assured.

The Rada chairman stressed that the Party of Regions hadn't changed its position on the matter. "And there probably will be a joint statement on this matter by all factions. This issue is being currently considered," Rybak said.

The speaker said that experts were working on the issue of the Customs Union. "They will give their recommendations. They will give their explanations for lawmakers. Time will come, when we will consider this matter," he said.

At the same time, Rybak stressed that the issue of Ukraine's accession to the Customs Union was not on the agenda.

"Ukraine has not filed any application... This issue is being studied. And today the issue of Ukraine's accession to the Customs Union is not on the agenda. No one can say [that we have chosen] only the European Union, or only the Customs Union. We need to study this issue very carefully," the speaker said.
