Ukrzaliznytsia director general Kozak appointed infrastructure minister

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has appointed Volodymyr Kozak Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine.

Kozak is Head of the State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia).

This is stipulated in president decree No. 735/2012 of December 24, 2012.

Kozak was born on August 9, 1959 in Zaporizhia region. He graduated from Dnipropetrovsk Railway Transport Engineering Institute.

In May 2006 he was elected lawmaker of Ukrainian parliament of the fifth convocation and he headed the railway transport sub-committee of the parliamentary transport and communications committee.

In 2006-2007 he was director general of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Since November 2007 he has been lawmaker of Ukrainian parliament of the sixth convocation and chairman of the parliamentary transport and communications committee.

Since March 21, 2011 he has been director general of Ukrzaliznytsia.
