Miroshnychenko: It's impossible to force MPs to work

Regions Party MPs who fail to vote in parliament individually will bear political and party responsibility, as legal sanctions are not envisaged for this, the president's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Yuriy Miroshnychenko, said live on Channel 5 on Wednesday.

"There are no ways to oblige MPs to work. There's only an oath that is taken and signed by each MP, and there's responsibility to voters, who, in fact, delegated each people's deputy to the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada. We are aware of this responsibility, and I very much hope that our colleagues will participate in plenary meetings and vote individually," he said.

"There are forms of influence, and they currently don't envisage any legal actions, but they envisage political and party responsibility," Miroshnychenko said.
