Prosecutor General's Office: Most complaints of vote buying not confirmed

The Prosecutor General's Office has reported that of the 94 complaints that were considered by prosecuting agencies regarding obstacles to the realization of the electoral right to vote in parliamentary elections, including through bribing voters, violations were detected only in five cases.

The media liaisons department of the Prosecutor General's Office reported on Wednesday that criminal cases had been opened on all five cases.

The pre-trial investigation on three criminal cases (Crimea and Luhansk region) was completed in a short time. The criminal cases with indictments have already been sent to the courts.

"Another 18 complaints and reports in this category are being verified. Based on the results of these checks, a decision will be taken in accordance with law," the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
