Russia will not change its position regarding the price it charges Ukraine for gas even after the elections, leader of the Communist Party Petro Symonenko has said.

"Nothing will change after the elections. Russia will stick to a principle position until Ukraine responds to the fundamental challenges the third world crisis has placed before many countries, including Russia," the press service of the Communist party quoted Symonenko as saying.

Symonenko said that not using a potential of the national coal industry, Ukraine is losing great opportunities to use coal at an affordable price in electricity generating stations and for domestic purposes.
