Kyiv to get extra money to build subway

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through cutting expenses for paying off state debts, has increased general expenses for the development of Kyiv by UAH 255.557 million.

A corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 892 of September 17 has been posted on the government's Web site.

According to the document, UAH 30 million will be allocated for the building of the subway to Vyhurivschyna-Troyeschyna and Teremky housing areas through the redistribution of budget assignments from the Finance Ministry in 2012 in the state budget's general fund.

Moreover, the government as part of the distribution of state capital expenses has allocated an additional UAH 160 million to Kyiv City State Administration.

In particular, the funds for the building of a section of the Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska metro line from Vystavkovy Tsentr to Odeska Ploscha in Holosiyivsky district of Kyiv grew by UAH 100 million, to UAH 368.7 million.

In addition, UAH 60 million will be provided to Kyiv City State Administration for the reconstruction and building of a tramway line at Vyhurivschyna-Troyeschyna housing area from Myloslavska Street to the transit station of the city circular electric train (UAH 30 million) and for the reconstruction of the transport interchange at Poshtova Ploscha in Podilsky district of Kyiv (UAH 30 million).

According to the document, budget assignments foreseen by the Finance Ministry in 2012 under program "State capital expenses distributed by the Cabinet of Ministers" hiked by UAH 225.557 million, to UAH 3.076 billion.
