Last night, the Ukrainian defense forces inflicted a massive attack on the occupiers' military facilities 200 to 1,100 kilometers deep into the territory of Russia, an oil depot in Engels, the Bryansk Chemical Plant, the Saratov oil refinery, and the Kazanirgsintez plant were attacked, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said Tuesday.

"On the night of January 14, the defense forces of Ukraine launched a massive attack on the occupiers' military facilities 200 to 1,100 kilometers deep into the territory of the Russian Federation. The targets in Bryansk, Saratov, Tula regions and the Republic of Tatarstan came under the strikes," it said on the Telegram channel.

The Kristall Combine oil depot in Engels, Saratov region, where a five-day fire had been put out, was successfully attacked for the second time.

"The blaze has been successfully restored by the units of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Force and the Main Intelligence Directorate," the General Staff said.

The Bryansk Chemical Plant in the town of Seltso, a strategic facility of the Russian military-industrial complex, was also hit.

"Ammunition for cannon artillery, multiple rocket launchers, aviation, engineering munitions and components of Kh-59 cruise missiles are manufactured here. A secondary detonation was observed on the territory of the plant, which lasted for several hours. In addition, the attack destroyed two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems – Tor and Buk," the General Staff said.

The Unmanned Systems Force, Special Operations Forces, missile forces, Air Force, as well as the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry and the Security Service of Ukraine were engaged in this combat task.

In addition, units of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine hit strategic facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex – the Saratov oil refinery and the Kazanorgsintez plant. A fire broke out at both facilities.

"Targeted and systematic work to hit the facilities that provide ammunition, military equipment and fuel and lubricants to the occupying army of the Russian Federation will continue until the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is completely stopped," the General Staff said.
