During the night, the invaders fired 72 attack UAVs, 33 drones were shot down, 34 did not reach their target, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"On the night of January 10, 2025 (from 08:30 on January 9), the enemy attacked 72 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of simulator drones from the directions of Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of the Russian Federation," the Air Force said on the Telegram channel on Friday.

As of 09:00, the downing of 33 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones was confirmed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia and Kherson regions. In addition, 34 enemy simulator drones were lost locationally (without negative consequences), one of them left for the direction of the Russian Federation.

In total, five UAV hits (enterprises and utility buildings) were recorded in the frontline area in the north of Chernihiv region, and a civilian was injured. In Kyiv region, a stricken UAV crashed into a high-rise building, damaging a building and two dozen cars. According to preliminary estimates, there are no casualties.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
