URCS volunteers work at site of liquidation of consequences of missile strikes in Chernihiv
Volunteers of the Chernihiv regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) are working in a residential area of Chernihiv, damaged by a missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces on Friday evening.
"Currently, volunteers of the Chernihiv regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society are working at the scene. They are collecting information and needs among the population, and also providing residents of damaged houses with humanitarian aid in the form of food packages, lanterns, OSB boards, film and tarpaulin for covering windows," the URCS reported on Facebook on Saturday.
URCS volunteers are on duty at the deployed point of invincibility in order to quickly provide first medical and psychological aid to residents of damaged houses, if necessary.
The URCS noted that on Friday, after the Russian missile attack, the rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society promptly arrived at the site of the shelling, where it provided the necessary support to the victims, including first medical aid and first psychological aid. Volunteers also helped evacuate residents of damaged houses.
As reported, as a result of missile strikes by Russian occupiers on Chernihiv on Friday evening, one person was killed, four were injured, two residential buildings were partially destroyed, and windows in seven residential buildings were damaged.
